-And no one will; ... you'll just have to follow your own path. Sometimes truth can reveal itself by multiple instances....dreams, desires, whishes..........and even distractions are, somehow, a mean to see ...to see widely.
-How will you distinguish truth from a distraction?- questioned the pilgrim.
-Well you can't, in a present or certain moment, but at somepoint you'll look backwards, and then, the truth will be revealed by itself;
-Nothing its so easy as that.....So i'll just have to walk to see?- questioned the unbelieved pilgrim.
-Well you can make a stop here an then...
He smiled.
So the woman fairwelled him and watched his steps disappear in that moonless snow falling night.

This is a great post. It's an interesting perspective of how to reach the truth:

Yes, distractions (I'll put as an example: emotions) cloud the truth. Sometimes the truth is right before our eyes, but we don't see it. Now, can it be taught? Can someone teach us how to see? No...we have to learn (by ourselves) how to reach the truth within, despite the distractions...
"(...) follow your own path" - this is life (as your image reminded me....btw: great image!).
Yes, distractions (if well managed) can lead us to the truth. However not everybody is strong enough to do this management *nodding*. It requires a whole amount of inner-strength and discipline; but in this case "will is power".
A distraction is everything that prevents you from seeing with the eyes of the soul (and once again I must restate that this occurs if one isn't disciplined enough...); whereas truth is a concept that is accepted by your intellect as such. Each and one of us has its own truth (as you said "(...) a distraction for my truth.")...neglecting many times the obvious truth: Him.
Life, indeed always finds a way of teaching us, of showing us the truth (whatever it might be to each of us, at a given moment of life).
I loved this! Interesting the coincidence of the theme...well, they do say that "great minds think alike" :).
